My family, Pim, Hannah and Yannick our dog Cole,cat Amber,and I make our home in Pinckney, MI. We have lived here since 1995, the same year we had our first child, Hannah Lynn. We are constantly remodeling, take a look at some of the changes. We have added to the family our son, Yannick Paul.After we had Hannah at the University of Michigan with Lemaze Training, we were convinced that there was a better way. Our research directed us toward the Bradley Method®. The Bradley Method is more comprehensive and resulted in a very personnal and rewarding child birth.It also helped that we had a nurse mid-wife and had Yannick at Providence Hospital Birthing Center ( one of the premiere birthing centers in the U.S.) We are now expecting our third child and plan also to continue with the Brabley Method and return to Providence.
I am a teacher in the Ann
Arbor Public Schools. I am currently teaching at Forsythe
Middle School. I teach 7th grade mathematics, advisory and a math mentoring
hour; eighth grade students helping seventh grade students. I am currently
teaching the Connected Mathematics
Program; a problem solving method of mathematics, meeting the NCTM Standards
and the only middle school Exemplary Math Program as rated by the U.S.Dept
of Education. It will be a very challenging year, my first year in the 7th
grade books and first year as a seventh grade teacher.
Through the course I took to originaly make this page (BEDU 591 @ Eastern Michigan University) and the desire to communicate with our Dutch family , I have been interested and participating in InternetRelayChat (IRC).IRC is the original internet chat, and the most world wise use is found on IRC. I frequent the channel #ircle; it is a help channel for 'Ircle3.04' the finest IRC client (of course it is a Mac program and Dutch Made) and #macppl, a very enjoyable place to hang for a while, very nice people are there and they often host many thought provoking games.Ircle is capable of running voice and video connections, as well as many scripts.If you get a chance look for me on undernet or ircnet as Don39now or dldc.
